Cherokee Dam Campground

Located on the Cherokee Dam Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) reservation, Cherokee Dam Campground is managed by Recreation Resource Management. During the high season, stays are limited to 21 days. During the off-season, stays are limited to a maximum of 30 days.

Tent site rates start at $10 with $2 additional for electricity, $1 for sewer, $1 for water and $2 more for a lakefront spot. RV sites start at $14 with $6 more for electricity with $3 for water and $2 for sewer. A lakefront RV spot costs $2 more. A host is available onsite around the clock to help with any problems guests may face.

Campground sites have water, electric and sewer hookups. RV sites and tent sites are available. There are handicap accessible sites for guests. Cherokee Dam has picnic tables, grills, swimming areas, soccer fields and a popular walking path that leads out onto the dam. There is a boat launch and a bathhouse at the campground as well.

The campground is located near stores, restaurants and tourist attractions. It is within a short drive of the Great Smoky Mountains, Dollywood, Dixie Stampede and numerous other tourist venues and historic sites.
